Mufeed Said is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia and State of New York. He received his undergraduate degree in Richmond, Virginia with a major in criminal justice and a minor in psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Mr. Said graduated from the University Honors program at VCU with the academic level of distinction of Magna Cum Laude. His post graduate education was completed when he received his law degree from the University of Richmond. While at the University of Richmond, T C Williams School of Law, Mr. Said was on the University Law Review and received his Juris Doctor with the academic level of distinction, Magna Cum Laude.
In 1997 Mufeed started his work as a Criminal defense attorney in the City of Petersburg, Virginia. His career as a prosecutor began in 2001 as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Richmond. After a very successful four years, and many victories, Said left his position as Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney to enter private practice.
